When their son was born, they were living apart. This custody fight grew worse after she refused to comply with an Arizona court's ruling which barred her from providing financial support for her children, in spite of her husband's salary of $10,000,000 per year. After 2012 her husband moved to the Los Angeles Lakers. She sought custody and support. Following a spirited response to his request, he declared it was because Los Angeles wasn't a great place for children to be raised. He claimed that his wife is going to lavish her children with expensive goods. He didn't give any cash to his wife and paid the medical bills and any other expenses. But in the year 2016 it became apparent that they had both made their way through their lives with no grudges.
